The Job

Job Description: The overall scope of work for the required support is interdisciplinary in nature and must at all times bridge between securing compliance with external requirements and fulfilling the needs of the technical project packages. More specifically the required support is foreseen - but not limited - to cover the following: Assist in preparation or review of documentation (reports, plans, etc.) needed for the compliance and authority sign-off of permit conditions; here under to prepare Dutch summaries, conclusions and cover letters; Assist in preparation of memos, recommendations, etc. for internal decision making process; Provide expert advice in relation to environmental and permit related issues of various nature (e.g. marine mammals, migrating birds, fishery, nature inclusive construction, aviation/navigation marking, marine safety, etc.); Review and assess relevant national regulation, rules, guidance, and key stakeholder initiatives and analyse and/or represent the project's interest within those initiatives; Assist in management of various stakeholders and regulatory authorities; hereunder participate in meetings either on behalf of or assisting DE representative. Qualification of Candidate: The work is foreseen to be provided by 1 or potentially 2 key resources, with qualifications and experience within permitting and environmental assessment of offshore wind projects in the Netherlands. More specifically the following experience and competences are requested: • Insight into current Dutch legal framework for offshore wind; • Basic understanding of wind farm technical components; • Knowledge of environmental impacts of offshore wind and relevant mitigation measures; • Applied experience with authority consultations and stakeholder management abilities, etc.; • Fluent in Dutch and English • The consultant will, as a general rule, work out of own office but should expect regular presence in the office in The Hauge. There may be a requirement for attending other meetings in The Netherlands and Denmark. Shift Pattern: The work will be requested by the Permitting Project Manager on hoc basis based on monthly/quarterly forecast and planning of tasks expected for the coming month(s). The work load will vary over the contracted period, however a part time (15-25 hrs/week) expected on average. Apply now for more details
