Project Manager - Rail programmes
We are working on behalf of our client to find a Project Manager. Our client is in the process of delivering major schemes across the North changing the transport needs of the whole of the North of England.
You will be responsible for the delivery of the Corridor Study Programme. You will:-
Identify risks and opportunities across the programme and provide input to integration
Act as the intelligent client and lead input into Corridor Study programme being undertaken by Network Rail and HS2 Limited.
Establish and lead effective working arrangements with multiple internal and external stakeholders to provide guidance on the development and delivery of Corridor Study programme.
Ensure that work package managers are using the integration toolkit to capture actions, risks and decisions.
Skills and Qualifications
Relevant degree qualification
Introductory or Foundation Project Management qualification
Proven experience in rail infrastructure programme development and delivery
Proven experience of working in partnership with the Department for Transport, Network Rail and other national agencies
Proven experience of leading and working with multi-disciplinary teams to deliver complex projects and work plans, and to meet key objectives
Experience of successful transport strategy and policy development and implementation
Broad knowledge of transport strategy, transportation planning and rail engineering
Experience in overseeing the work of third parties and the conducting of studies
