The Job

Are you willing to leverage your experience to lead the roll out new business models at a scale across Africa ?

We are currently seeking a Senior executive with strong commercial mindset and understanding of financial analysis to lead the development and roll out of our client's solar leasing concept for the region.

Detailed Job description:

  • Lead development of a New Ventures strategy for Africa, with an emphasis on the mining industry and other industries currently relying on diesel and HFO for power generation
  • Lead efforts to identify and secure customers
  • Lead negotiations for project acquisition and manage the acquisition\transaction process
  • Manage technical and EPC contractors and stakeholders
  • Lead and coordinate internal and external project development (land, Local permits and approvals, interconnection rights, PPAs
  • Lead bidding processes to submit bid packages in response to RFPs from offtakers.

Key skills:

  • Senior Executive
  • Origination of power supply deals
  • Knowledge of power plant sizing, integration and interface
  • Know-how of mining operations
  • Contract negotiation and purchasing
  • PPA, interconnection agrrements, permitting requirement and EPC contract terms and conditions
