Role & Responsibilities:
Support: Execution and Compliance
Steward the execution of the MOC (Management of Change), CHESM (Contractor Health Environment Safety Management) and MSW (Managing Safe Work) Processes, specifically focused on the requirements and expectations of these processes. Ensure that appropriate risk assessments are carried out within the company's business and that mitigations and safeguards are in place to protect the workforce and the environment. Coordinate with the Lubricants, CBRES, Remediation and Refinery groups on process development, process compliance and lobby for resources and support as appropriate. Work closely with Process Advisors from the Refinery and SMEs from the other business to enable resource support and execution alignment. Steward and drive compliance to the Management of Change, Contractor Health Environment Safety Management Process and Managing Safe Work Process.
Support of Operations - Overview
Deliver effective support to the company's business by managing the MOC, CHESM and MSW Processes for office safety and field safety. Serves as the key source of expertise on Management of Change, Contractor HES Management and Managing Safe Work. Advise the field SHEQ teams (Logistics HES Specialists and Retail/C&I HES Specialists) and operations on key requirements of the MOC, CHESM and MSW processes to ensure adherence to process requirements / standards and ease of execution.
Change Leadership and HSE Capacity Building
Be the Process Advisor on the MOC, CHESM and MSW processes to drive understanding and execution of those processes. Provides leadership and coaching to the business to develop skills and drive SHEQ accountabilities. Implements and stewards training and skill development for the MOC, CHESM and MSW Processes.
- SAMTRAC / NEBOSCH, Degree / Diploma in Safety Management
- Minimum of 5 years related experience in Contractor Health and Safety and Managing Safe Work experience will be an added advantage.
- Proven track record within the Managing Safe Work environment.
- Strong Managing Safe Work mindset and enhanced interpersonal and communications skills.
- Demonstrated ability to operate independently with minimum of supervision.
- Excellent negotiation, presentation, communication, interpersonal skills and good commercial acumen.
