Project Management Consultant - Various Locations

This is an immediate requirement for a Project Manager to join a leading UK P3 consultancy specialising in supporting various Government departments. They have offices in Bristol, Bath, Gloucester, Southampton and London and you will have the option to work from any of these offices as well as from home. You will however be expected to meet regularly with local clients based in London, Bristol and Gloucester as required.

A great opportunity has arisen for a Project Manager to work for a leading UK Consultancy in the Bristol area. This Project Management Consultant role will be working closely with clients like the MoD, Department of Energy, MoJ and Met Police to provide knowledge transfer, guidance, advice and quality control for various large programmes.

Your role will be to help to deliver complex programmes through the integration of programme management and systems engineering/enterprise architecture. This means that clients maintain a clear picture of their goals and how they are being realised, which builds the coherence they need to make informed decisions.

The ideal candidate will have experience of working on Engineering programme with a broad range of experience covering areas like Risk, EVM and project finances.

Requirements for this role

Have experience of working in a project environment in the Defence, Energy or Transportation industries. - Demonstrate practical experience in one or more of the following areas ** Project Control (including Earned Value), ** Planning and Scheduling, ** Project Risk Management, ** Cost Estimating and Forecasting, ** Through-life Management ** Planning and Assurance. - Be a confident individual who can perform when working as part of a team or when acting independently with support from colleagues. - Operate effectively at senior levels in a clients team to influence strategic decision makers whilst acting at the working level to deliver practical solutions. - Be articulate with good presentation and written communication skills. - Have a genuine enthusiasm to contribute to the growth of a successful business. - Be a member of an appropriate professional body (such as APM) and have a desire for further professional development.
