Our client is looking for a Highways / Streetworks Inspector to join a busy team on a contract basis.
This role is INSIDE IR35 (Umbrella and PAYE payment route is the only option)
Undertake detailed highway safety inspections throughout a designated area, in accordance with the policies and procedures and within scheduled timescales.
Assess defects observed on the highway or reported against stated guidelines and intervention criteria and arrange for minor ad-hoc repairs as appropriate.
Take and keep accurate measurements and records of all surveys and inspection on the Clients system including an accurate daily diary of inspections and measurements
Record defect information using suitable portable device or satellite devices
Carry out follow up inspections as required
Observe and report issues relating to use, misuse and/or obstructions of the highway and to instigate appropriate enforcement action
Qualifications / Experience
Must have: New Roads and Street Works Act accreditation
A working knowledge of the range of relevant principles, practices and procedures relating to highway maintenance and construction
Knowledge of relevant legislation eg Highways Act, Traffic Signs Regulations, Road Traffic Act, Health and Safety at Work Act, New Roads and Street Works Act, Traffic Management Act
WORKING HOURS: Days: 40 hours per week
(This role is inside IR35 thus candidates are unable to use their Personal Limited Companies)
