This is an immediate requirement for a Requirements Engineer or Systems Engineer with experience of the front end of the systems lifecycle.

A great opportunity has arisen for a Systems Engineer to work for a leading Marine Electronics design company in the South London area. This Systems Engineering role will be acting as the most senior and SME expert for the company's systems requirements. Due to this you will take responsibility of all of the company's requirements across all UK programmes.

JOB DESCRIPTION & REQUIREMENTS

Responsibilities for this Systems Engineer role

- Derivation of system requirements from stakeholder documentation (product capability specification and regulatory standards).
- Traceability between stakeholder requirements, system requirements, and sub-system requirements.
- Review requirements with subject matter experts and quality/test engineer.
- Validation of derived requirements with respect to stakeholder requirements.
- Following the Requirement Management Plan for each project.
- To be aware of and comply with Company Standards of Conduct and all relevant statutory requirements.
- Mentor other more Junior Systems Engineers

Requirements for this Systems Engineer role

- Experience of formal requirements management
- Experience of using the DOORS requirements management tool
- Familiarity with the systems engineering V-model


Desirable

- An understanding of the marine environment
- An understanding of the relevant standards (IEC 62388, IEC 62288, IEC 61174, IEC 60945, IEC 62065, IEC 61924-2)
