Production Maintenance Technician
Electrical Maintenance engineer/technician required for world leading manufacturer
Our client, who are a global leader in the manufacture of cables are looking to recruit an Electrically biassed Multi skilled Production Maintenance Technician to boost its support team at their plant in Aberdare, South Wales.
The Maintenance Technician will maintain, repair and fault find on plant and machinery, using a range of maintenance disciplines. In addition they will be asked to ensure and improve plant efficiency through continuous improvement.
As a key member of a team working a continuous 7 day shift pattern, the successful candidate will also contribute towards machine efficiency and development programmes using existing programmes/methodologies.
It is preferable that candidates will have completed a recognised apprenticeship and must have a broad ranging background including previous experience of working within Engineering and Maintenance. An Electrical bias, in addition to PLC knowledge, is required to be successful in this role (c70%) however Mechanical knowledge would also be required. Computer literacy is also essential.
The ability to work on your own initiative is an additional quality required in this role.
The shift work will be 12 hours per shift on a rotating 4x4 basis. This will consist of 2 x 12 hours days, 2 x 12 hours nights then 4 days off.
Remuneration package includes:
* Basic salary of £27,251 per annum + £7,086 per annum (shift premium)
* Cash health plan scheme
