Our client is looking for an experience Boiler Operator to join their team on a small scale biomass plant.

Role definition

Summary of role

To safely operate the biomass plant

Responsibilities and accountabilities

Day to day running of the biomass Plant.

Health & Safety

Maintaining of records & logs, both electronically and manually.

Emission controls.

Maintenance and cleaning to be carried out.

Checking of Risk assessments, Method statements and issuing of permits to work.

Overseeing of sub-contractors and checking they are working to their RAMS

Qualifications, training and technical knowledge

Biomass Boiler experience. (Would be an Advantage)

Boas certified.

General fault finding.

First aid/ Confined space/Pasma/Fork lift license

Good working & understanding of Microsoft office products.

Basic electrical and mechanical engineering experience (Would be an Advantage) although site specific training will be given.

Full UK driving Licence

Sound knowledge of biomass plant and standards.

Good writing, analytical and problem-solving skills

Know when to ask for help and guidance

A good understanding of COSHH, PUWER and H&S regulations
