Development Control Engineer
Our client has a great contract opportunity for an experienced DC Officer to work on major and minor planning applications from a Highways perspective.
This will be working in the Highways Development Control (HDC) Team as additional resource is required in particular to maintain the response rate (as part of the statutory planning process) on an increasing case load of consultations on planning applications to which we have to reply quickly to via a computerised system in order to meet set deadlines.
The client is looking for someone who is familiar with the requirements of Highways and Planning Acts and nationally recognised design guidance (DMRB and Manual for Streets etc) in order to make technical assessments of and recommendations for development proposals.
This requires the ability to liaise within a politically sensitive environment and to engage with other external developers, their designers and consultants as well as internal colleagues particularly in Highways, Engineering and Planning therefore previous local authority experience would be preferred.
Matchtech acts as an employment agency for permanent recruitment and employment business for the supply of temporary workers and is part of Gattaca Plc.
Gattaca Plc provides support services to Matchtech and may assist with processing your application.
