Our client is looking for an expereinced Reliability Engineer to join their team on a permanent basis
To deliver Failure Mode Effect Criticality Analysis (FMECA) across the organisation against a programme of site reviews across both Water and Wastewater. This will be used to chart the probability of failure modes against the severity of their consequences. With the result highlighting failure modes with relatively high probability and severity of consequences, allowing remedial effort Totex or Capex to be directed where it will produce the greatest value meeting Customer promises and outcomes.
Responsible as part of a team for the delivery of Failure Mode Effect Criticality Analysis across the organisation against a programme of site reviews across both Water and Wastewater using own technical skills.
Completion of programme of site reviews including responding to changes in site performance against performance criteria set within the team. Involvement in the development of new asset management systems and processes to establish industry leading Asset Management practices within SW, ensuring such processes that feed the Regulatory Business Plan becomes business as usual and ensures the delivery of customer outcomes.
Identifying and prioritise through FMECA reviews asset needs using advanced asset planning tools, including scenario planning, modelling and interpretation of results alongside customer outcome and serviceability performance targets. Produces key information that drives organisational performance to deliver strategic outcomes, through linking root cause with clear line of sight to customer outcomes.
Liaise with Integrated Planning Team to ensure the outcomes feed the new asset planning system along with validation of asset data within Ellipse for deterioration model outputs Perform skills specific FMECA reviews or team based FMECA reviews, modelling scenarios and interpreting the investment and operational (tasks and maintenance) requirements necessary to deliver the relevant Outputs and Serviceability performance to ensure efficiency targets associated with customer outcomes are achieved Input to the development and optimisation of the Process and Network Capital programmes to deliver the customer outcomes and serviceability performance at lowest whole life cost contributing to the timely delivery of output briefs to the Solutions Team Responsible for the production of material for reports and business updates which include, but are not limited to:
* Integrated plans * Water and Wastewater Risk Control systems
* Flow, Compliance and Pollution action plans
* Asset maintenance Supports the Identification of current and future asset risk, and requirements to model and predict future asset performance requirements and assist Operations with the identification of training, capacity and resource requirements to meet plans.
Work across Operations/Finance and other significant areas of Infrastructure to ensure plans are delivered to time and reflect actual site performance and operating environment. Close liaison with Water and Wastewater Integrated Planning Managers, Strategy, Environmental Quality and data teams will be required in understanding and delivering the required outputs. The role will occasionally engage with external support and consultants.
Key skills/knowledge/qualifications/experience: Essential - Honours Degree in engineering or similar field
Desirable - Post graduate qualification in engineering, water or environment. Asset Management qualification / professional association Experience Experience of FMECA including data analysis, reporting and application of mathematical and statistical techniques preferably within the Water / Wastewater sector. with a proven ability to meet timescales and ensure quality of output through effective organisation and prioritisation of tasks
High level of numeracy and literacy with attention to detail, using excellent IT, modelling and system skills including advanced competency in Microsoft packages including Excel and understanding
FMECA analysis techniques Experience of facilitating cross functional/stakeholder workshops to deliver outputs. Experience and technical expertise in a Utility / Asset Management area, demonstrating the ability to evaluate and model complex site configurations & serviceability issues and information, through an understanding of company drivers, outputs and serviceability targets, the Water Industry regulatory framework and OFWAT's business model
