Technical Engineer (Maintenance Planning Engineer)
Our client a world leader in the development of technical documentation for the aerospace industry have an opportunity for two Technical Engineers with a maintenance planning background at their facility in Welwyn Garden City in Hertfordshire.
Our aerospace client, a subsidiary of a world leading aircraft manufacturer, that specialises in Technical Documentation, Engineering Learning Media and Aircraft Interior Design have an opportunity for two Technical Engineers involved with maintenance planning schedules for Boeing operators.
REQUIREMENTS: To develop, review and manage the customer's Aircraft Maintenance Program (AMP) to meet the customer's and Regulatory Authority's requirements, implement improvements driven by the reliability program while ensuring that the customer aircraft's availability, reliability and life cycle costs are optimized
EDUCATION: Degree in Engineering classification (or equivalent) is preferred but not required or 3-4 years' experience in related discipline.
EXPERIENCE: Prior technical writing experience plus any combination of the following is preferred: FAA or EASA maintenance licenses, i.e. FAA Airframe and Power Plant license. Hands-on aircraft maintenance experience. FAA/EASA Flight Certification Direct experience authoring Boeing Commercial Airplane technical Manuals.
SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES: Possess an understanding of engineering job practices, techniques and standards. Makes use of and applies job practices, techniques, standards, principles, theories, and concepts. Strong PC skills with high proficiency in Windows and Microsoft Office products functionality. Proficiency in Structured Authoring Systems and other job related Tools. Ability to learn new applications quickly. Ability to prioritize for maximum productivity for multiple projects. Ability to define and document processes as required. Ability to identify potential issues, analyse and recommend improvements and alternate solutions. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions. Good verbal and written communication skills. Good organizational skills. Proven reasoning, analytical abilities and mechanical aptitude.
