Cable Route Engineer
Our client is currently seeking a Cable Route Engineer who can assist them on the compilation of cable route studies from their London office.
The successful candidate will have responsibility for all aspects of cable route studies (desk top studies, site visits), database compilation and chart production using ESRI ARCGIS software. They will carry out cable route engineering using makai plan to generate Route Position Lists (RPLs) and Straight Line Diagrams (SLDs) for cable manufacture and installation.
They will also undertake the review of the marine survey reports and work on all aspects of cable route engineering for subsea cable systems. This will include cable routing and protection selection, overseeing marine survey activities, quality control of reported deliverables as well as liaising with sub-contractors and customers.
There will be the opportunity for offshore work and worldwide travel (site visits, customer meetings) within each project lifecycle.
Ideally you will be a degree qualified individual with working knowledge of ESRI ARCGIS suite or other GIS packages. You will have the ability to communicate to both internal and external stakeholders and clients and deliver presentations in a professional manner.
