Flood Risk Engineer
Our client is looking for an enthusiastic and highly driven Flood Risk Professional who can help the client fulfil its statutory role as Lead Local Flood Authority.
This is an exciting opportunity to join the Land Drainage and Flood Risk Management Team for the client. The team leads the Clients role as Lead Local Flood Authority, working with risk management partners to manage flood risk across the District.
They have ambitious plans to promote and develop a mulit-million pound capital flood alleviation programme in conjunction with other stakeholders. This includes the integration of new flooding schemes within significant growth areas whilst seeking continued business investment and developer interest.
The varied workload for this post involves flood investigations, advising on flood risk and drainage matters to the Planning Authority, drainage asset maintenance and management, reservoir management and maintenance, confined space surveying, drainage design and inspection, civil engineering contract management and preparation, land drainage consenting and the management of a multi-million pound capital flood alleviation programme.
