The Job

My client, a systems integrator in Portsmouth, are looking for a Controls Project Engineer.

This role will give you the chace to work with a close knit team who provide very specialist and dedicated solutions to their clients.

We are able to look at candidates from a variety of backgrounds but some experience of PLC/HMI programming/design is essential regardless of where your career may have now taken you.

So if you are a recent Graduate with a few years of experience, a Controls Maintenance Engineer who would like to move to a project based role or an experienced Controls Design Engineer who wants to work within a specialisist industry, then we want to hear from you.

Package on offer:
- Salary from £30K-£50K depending on experience and where you are in your career

- In-house and outside training will be provided.

Re-location support can also be offered for any candidates who may be looking to re-locate to the South coast.

Key responsibilities:

You will be required to design, write and commission software for PLC's, HMI's and SCADA systems.

Most of the work will be in the pharmaceutical industry, with some work in other industry sectors.

* Design of GAMP5 quality level PLC and HMI software

* Travel globally to carry out electrical and software commissioning (around 15% of the year)

* Meet with end users clients to discuss their requirements

* Delivery through a full project life cycle

The ideal candidate will have:

* Computer, Control & Automation or Electrical engineering degree or equivalent

* Knowledge of PLC, SCADA and HMI programming and testing

* An aptitude and willingness to learn new skills, technologies and methodologies

* Personable with good client facing skills, must be able to work as part of a team

* Self motivating and capable of independent working

* Work to a project plan and deliver projects on time

* Willingness to travel locally and overseas to work at customer sites when required
