Associate / Ass. Director
An excellent opportunity for a skilled Associate / Associate Director in London, to play a key role in the provision of innovative and effective transportation advice to support some of the most exciting projects in the UK and internationally.
Our clients Transportation team pride themselves on their exemplary track record of providing first-class transportation planning design, advice and input on a wide variety of projects throughout the UK and international offices. Our clients include local authorities and government organisations, private developers, house builders, housing associations and education providers.
They offer a pro-active and collaborative approach to skill development, and professional excellence.
Working across a variety of sectors you will work closely with colleagues of various disciplines to ensure the delivery of technically-excellent, profitable projects.
The successful candidate will be an integral part of a successful team of transport planners, delivering a broad range of services to public and private sector clients, including:
* Development planning;
* Preparing and reviewing Transport Assessments and Travel Plans;
* Traffic data analysis and presentation;
* Parking Assessments;
* Section 278 works;
* Public Inquiries;
* Access Consultancy; and
* Inclusive Design.
Whilst they have an established profile in London, they are seeking to grow their Transportation presence in the local market in addition to the south of England. Most of their projects are based in the UK, but they also support international developments and this role provides opportunity to work on a wide variety of projects both at pre and post planning stages in differing locations.
You will be expected to support their current clients' requirements by managing the delivery of projects and securing planning permissions for development proposals. You will be closely involved with clients, both directly and through other disciplines and will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing existing relationships, in addition to undertaking marketing and business development activities to expand our client base. You will be required to provide technical expertise to colleagues to support multi-disciplinary projects and help to promote the profile of the Transportation team.
The role requires strong financial management skills to support the Director of Transportation in maintaining the strong financial performance of the team and enabling its future growth.
As a proven transportation planner, with sound technical and industry understanding, you will have gained significant relevant experience in a transportation and/or transport planning role within a relevant consultancy and/or local authority and have proven your technical expertise with relevant technical software including GIS, ARCADY, PICADY, LinSig and TEMPRO.
You will have experience of detailed co-ordination with other design disciplines and have proven ability in both overseeing and producing effective transport planning solutions and preparing project reports which reflect the sustainable ethos of the company and the team. The ability to support more junior colleagues to progress their career is essential.
