Introduction

Our client, an utility infrastructure company are looking for a Water Chlorination Engineer to commission water infrastructure. Technician level with training provided. The position is a field based position covering the South of England.

The Job

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work safely always wearing relevant PPE
  • Use only approved tools and equipment
  • Install Test, chlorinate and commission water infrastructure as instructed working to standards and codes of practice, ensuring that all work is undertaken to a high standard of safety and technical quality by following all appropriate generic and specific method statements, work procedures and safety instructions
  • Have a full and comprehensive understanding of, chlorinating and sampling procedures
  • Accept delivery of plant and materials and check fitness for purpose prior to use
  • Ensure vehicles, plant and equipment remain clean, in good condition, and report any defects to the Project Manager
  • Identify at an early stage all contract variations and report to the Project Manager and work in accordance with the company Variation and Deviations Procedure
  • Complete site-specific risk assessments daily and ensure maintenance of a safe working environment
  • Attend "toolbox talks" and other training courses as required
  • Record accurately details of work undertaken
  • Submit relevant work details for recording in the required timescale
  • Collect and deliver water samples to approved locations within the relevant timescales
  • Any other duties as deemed appropriate by the Project Manager that fall within the general experience scope of the individual

  • Operating Pressure testing equipment
  • Operating chlorination/dichlorination equipment
  • Working on development sites
  • Driving
  • Identify and understand utility plans
  • Input pressure test data and analyse results using approved software

Minimum qualifications/Experience:

  • Water NCO2 Main Laying/Service Laying (or equivalent)
  • NRSWA certificate for operatives
  • Water Network Safety Passport
  • Water Hygiene
  • Experience of Water Mains Testing, Chlorinating and Sampling
  • Full valid driving licence
