The Job

NATS is recruiting for a Senior Technical Trainer to provide training and expertise in the delivery if NATS Technical training course, acting as a role-model of training expertise and excellence.

The candidate may be looking to change from an experienced delivery role to deliver their skills and knowledge to aspiring ATC engineers.

The candidate will be joining an enthusiastic multi-disciplined team, working in a dynamic environment and will gain experience of the ATC world.

Responsibilities:

Liaising with customers/stakeholders to develop and agree training solutions.

Organise and undertake the development and delivery of technical training courses, both existing and new, to achieve the aims and objectives of the course.

Develop and deliver training in a cost effective manner which demonstrates the application of expert judgement and current best practice.

Responsible and accountable for the design and development of training solutions and materials to meet the full range of learning styles

Conduct training needs analysis, produce training plans and develop course specifications to meet customer requirements Assist in preparation and amendment of the course programme.

Provide specialist training consultancy to internal and external customers.

Requirements:

Professional Engineering/IT qualifications to degree or equivalent in Engineering, Science, IT or Numerate discipline with experience in a training environment

5 years' experience of designing, developing and delivering technical training to meet specified training requirements.

Experience of delivering formal training in a classroom and operational environment.

Be able to demonstrate coaching skills in a technical environment.

Possess excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to lead, advise and motivate students to present and impart knowledge in a clear, concise and accurate manner.

It would be advantageous to have designed and developed training to meet regulatory requirements, experience of maintaining Air Traffic data processing systems. Knowledge and understanding of ITIL and experience of project managing new training requirements.
