Webster Bennet Operator
An opportunity has arisen for Manual turners, based in Havant.
You will be involved in the manufacturing of seals and bearings for the marine industry.
You will be based on the Manual Vertical Turning Lathes [Webster Bennet], and your role would encompass the machining of a wide range of Materials and specifications to meet our client's customer requirements.
Flexibility is key for this position with a wide variety of duties to be carried out in a safe accurate manner to meet target.
Day to day responsibilities:
* Manual Centre Lathe Operation
* Communicate with all ops teams to ensure proactive actions are taken to meet target.
* Continuous improvement relating to process and procedures.
* All duties carried out to be done in a safe manner following H&S safety procedures.
* Any other duties that may be required.
The ideal candidate will have the following experience:
Webster/Bennet or other Face Plate Turning experience preferable
Experience in an Engineering environment.
Understand Health& Safety environment/procedures.
Read and understand drawings.
Ability to communicate effectively within a small team
Ideally educated to college standard or solid experience working in manufacturing industry
There are 2 positions available, one on day shift and one on night shift.
Day shift hours: Mon - Thurs , 07:00-15:00, Fri, 07:00-13:00
Night shift hours are Mon - Thurs 21:15 - 07:00
Salary: Approx. £26,000 plus 33% for night shift
