My client is a leading firm of Consulting Engineers, Project Managers and Development Consultants. The Birmingham based team are looking for an enthusiastic, dynamic and motivated individual to join them as a Associate Civil and Planning Engineer.

The company provides multi‐disciplinary consultancy services on a diverse range of strategic development, infrastructure and regeneration projects throughout the UK. The team have an impressive track record of providing leading edge advice on some of the most challenging and large scale projects.
The Role:
The successful candidate will join the local business (being situated in a modern office adjacent to the National Exhibition Centre in Birmingham), and will lead the Planning Team in delivering a number of mixed‐use, residential‐led schemes as well as liaising with clients and managing staff who undertake work in the following disciplines:
Transportation
Flood Risk and Drainage
Utilities
Ground Contamination
Noise and Vibration
Air Quality
This permanent role will offer the chance to work on some of the largest and most prestigious development opportunities in the UK, taking the project lead and driving forward the Planning Team through its work in the pre‐planning stages of project delivery.
The successful candidate is expected to have demonstratable knowledge in the following areas:
Transportation
Flood Risk and Drainage
Client Facing & Project Delivery
Additional experience is desirable, but not essential, in the following areas:
Planning (Applications, Legislation, Procedure)
Residential Developments
Environmental Impact Assessments
Business Development & Marketing
Qualifications/Experience/Salary
Candidates will need a working experience multi‐disciplinary service provision, including areas such as Transport
Assessments and Flood Risk Assessments. The opportunity exists for more experienced candidates to take a wider
project and team management role, with early promotion to Technical Director and a seat on the company
management board.
The position will suit a candidate with a strong desire to further grow their career with an interesting and varied project
workload.
The candidate must have excellent communication skills and be the sort to thrive in a hardworking and dynamic
work environment.
Salary will be commensurate with experience and education background / requirements.
