Want to work on one of the largest European wide Air Traffic Control programmes?

A great opportunity has arisen for a Junior Linux Engineer to work for a leading Air Traffic Control company in the Whiteley area. This role will be working on a major new systems upgrade for the UK's National Air Traffic control centre. This is a cutting edge system using the latest technology available. The company covers the whole range of ATM systems, including surveillance, automation, communications, simulators and navaids.

The business excel in training and developing their staff. In this role you will be involved with investigating any reported technical problems with the new system. This will involve detailed analysis work on Linux logs to troubleshooting, test and report on any errors you encounter. From this you will then work with the development teams to ensure quick fixes and help keep the UK flying.

We can accept straight graduates through to Engineers with several year's experience. You will need to have a good understanding of Linux in order to work your way around the system. This might be through your university project, home programming or though work.

Requirements for this Linux Engineer role

- Bachelor's degree in engineering field such as Computer Science, Electronics or Software
- Experience of Linux operating systems - able to navigate yourself around the operating platform, understanding of logs and basic programming
- Analytical, with logical thinking who is capable to learn quickly. Problem solving skills are required as well as being dynamic and flexible to meet deadlines.
- Be able to work as part of a team, and alongside other departments such as developers, system engineers and also be able to coordinate with external parties and clients etc.
- This role may involve 1 or 2 trips to Spain a year
