Senior Modelling Engineer
Our client are a cutting edge electromagnetic modelling and analysis business looking for an engineer with a solid background in maths, science and naval systems. The role will offer the chance to learn Electromagnetic modelling.
Currently the company is looking for a member of the technical team to help the company grow in the area of supporting ship topside design and equipment refits.
Ideal candidates will be degree qualified (or with equivalent relevant experience) with a background in providing engineering support to the Royal Navy and experience of writing engineering reports.
The applicant will need to familiarise themselves with some of the proprietary software tools used by the business, which will require the development of CAD skills and a thorough understanding of applied electromagnetic problems and solutions as applicable to radio/satellite communications and radar systems using modelling and simulation techniques. Training will be provided where appropriate.
The applicant must be self-motivated, have a willingness to learn and be able to work closely as part of a small but capable team in a dynamic environment. Most of our work involves close liaison with clients and, therefore, it is essential for the individual to be able to communicate effectively on several levels.
- Degree or equivalent experience in mathematics, physics, electrical engineering or a related subject area,
- Background in providing engineering support to the Royal Navy with experience of writing engineering reports.
- Knowledge in computational electromagnetic modelling,
- A background in radio/satellite communications or radar systems.
