DE&S Supply Chain Support
Permanent post in Supply Chain Support based in Beith with DE&S.
Working in Supply Logistics Support you shall operate under supervision of senior Supply Chain Management colleagues in order to carry out tasks including engaging on transactional activities and escalating issues to senior colleagues when required. You will be responsible for helping to achieve business objectives and continue improving performance.
This post will allow you the opportunity to collaborate with contractors and supply chains to ensure supply demands are met and value for money is obtained. Through liaising with stakeholders you shall ensure the issue and receipt demand process is met, including correct paperwork for all Dangerous Goods information for the onsite Authorisation Rep.
To be successful you must have a minimum of 5 GCSE's at Grade C or above (or equivalent/further academic evidence), relevant experience in a similar environment would also be acceptable. You shall be IT literate with good understanding of Microsoft office tools as well as being articulate and precise in communicating information.
You shall be an innovative and resourceful individual with the ability to prioritise work in an ever changing environment, paying high attention to detail. Working within a team and liaising with different stakeholders including the Royal Air Force and Royal Navy, you will be an effective communicator with excellent interpersonal skills. You will identify areas and opportunities for Continuous Improvement.
Previous experience within a logistical background, supply chain or managing budgetary requirements would be an advantage. Additionally a background of working in Defence, Civil Service or a large and complex organisation would be highly beneficial.
Due to the location and requirements for travel a full UK Driving Licence would be advantageous.#
