The Job
Reporting into the Production Director, the Ship Manager will have overall responsibility for production, test and integration activities on the ship, as well as the management of a team of direct reports.
Responsibilities:
- Identify and evaluate shipyard production metrics and contribute to developing technical solutions for production engineering and design challenges
- Provide technical and managerial oversight on board ship by monitoring production processes
- Constantly review allocation of resources and materials to ensure optimal utilization in order to meet schedule and budget requirements
Qualifications:
- Prior extensive production management experience in new ship construction
- Defence or naval / marine shipbuilding experience
