Our client are a successful manufacturing company who are looking for a Maintenance Technician to join their growing business.
A vacancy has now arisen for an experienced Maintenance Technician within the Maintenance Department at our clients Aberdare site. Responsible for the maintenance of manufacturing operations and Site Services, this position will be working on a 2 shift pattern, as part of a small team to ensure effective maintenance programmes are implemented in a dynamic, high volume manufacturing environment. A willingness to work flexibly and commitment to work overtime is required.
QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE
You will have previous experience working as a maintenance technician in a busy, high volume manufacturing environment, having served a recognised apprenticeship in a suitable discipline and ideally educated to HNC level. You will have experience in mechanical and electrical disciplines.
You must be computer literate and have good knowledge of Microsoft Windows, and will be able to demonstrate a good understanding of mechanical principles with some electrical knowledge.
Key responsibilities are as follows;
- To maintain, repair and fault find on plant and machinery using various maintenance disciplines.
- Contribute toward machine efficiency and development programmes using existing maintenance programmes and methodologies.
- Complete preventative maintenance inspections and identify and implement action plans needed to stop reoccurring faults.
