The Job

THE ROLE: You will be responsible for the completion of the scheduled GIS and planning requirements.

THE RESPONSIBILITIES: You will use Mapinfo, utilising your experience of open source and other ancillary geographic analysis tools, as well as Microsoft office suite. You will be producing survey maps to support the survey team, checking subsequent survey packs for completeness and alignment with the Network Plan. You will be updating various graphical file sets such as .dxf, Google kml and Mapinfo TAB files with asbuilt information received from the field. You will be conducting detailed fibre mapping to meet design specs for fibre customer installations. YOU OFFER: Strong multitasking & problem-solving abilities. Flexible to cope with change, be proactive and adapt quickly to a developing type of service delivery Attention to detail YOU HAVE: The ideal candidate will come from a telecoms/GIS background with a minimum of two years planning experience. GIS/CAD experience within network planning environment An understanding of Fibre Optics in a Telecoms environment An understanding of PON Strong personal track record of achievement within a related environment.
