Civil Engineer / Technician
My client are a leading UK structural and civil engineering consultancy with a positive collaborative approach.
The London team are currently looking for a Civil Drainage Engineer/Technician to join their team to work on various Civil Engineering projects.
The successful candidate will contribute to the drawing and modelling input on civil engineering designs on roads, drainage and infrastructure on projects ranging from £1M to £300M and work alongside the senior team members.
The team design all elements of drainage, roads and structure working with the country's top contractors and developers.

In this role, you will report on a day to day basis senior members of the team and overall to the Director of Civil Engineering.
You will be responsible for the modelling input on a number of projects and assisting with the implementation of office standards.
As the team develops and uses new technology and software such as BIM, Infraworks and Navisworks you will be at the forefront of our implementation throughout the Civil Engineering team and wider company.
As well as the Civil Engineers you will need to liaise with the structural teams internally.
You will have experience detailing drainage and roads on infrastructure projects such as housing estates and inner city mixed used developments and be familiar with liaising and coordinating with numerous parties.
Some management experience would be useful but not essential as this role would suit someone looking to move into a more management role and further their career.
The candidate must have good 3D modelling skills, with UK experience (essential), and Micro drainage experience (desirable).
You will have good communication skills and an ability to retrieve information from others.
You will have excellent experience in the use of:
* Civils 3D (essential)
Experience of the following computer packages would be a distinct advantage, but not essential:
* Microdrainage/ Windows
* Autodesk Infraworks
* PDS Signs and Line
No specific academic qualifications are required but an HNC/HND or ONC/OND would be preferable. We would support any professional development and actively encourage progression to institutional membership.
37.5 hours a week, Monday to Friday 9am to 5.30pm with 1 hour for lunch plus paid overtime (conditions apply).
