The Job

ADA Software Engineer - BAE071197 - £44.00(p.h) LTD - Warton (Preston)

A Software Engineering position exists in the Typhoon Avionics Sub Systems Team to cover the coding and testing aspects of adding substantial new capabilities to the Typhoon Display & Controls subsystem.

Key Responsibilities will include: * Development of the Risk Class 2* Application Software using Ada. * Development of the Design using HOOD. * Requirements traceability using DOORS & Statemate. * Unit testing with the use of AdaTEST. * Review of Interface Control Definition baselines. * SW/SW integration testing. * HW/SW integration testing. * Use of AdaMulti and GPS.

The successful candidates will have a degree, HND or equivalent experience software engineering discipline. The successful candidate must; be able to work with minimal supervision, be pro-active, diligent, and have good problem solving, team-working and communications skills.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be required to perform tasks suitable to the internal level of this role. The role will contain, but will not be limited to, the following:

Development of the Risk Class 2* Application Software using Ada. Development of the Design using HOOD. Requirements traceability using DOORS & Statemate. Unit Testing with the use of AdaTEST. E-ICD tool for review of ICD baselines. SW/SW integration testing with the use of MaTE. HW/SW integration testing with the use of MaTE TRCF. Use of AdaMulti and GPS Analysis of SPRs and implementation and testing of fixes as necessary

The Individual

The successful candidates will have a degree, HND or equivalent experience software engineering discipline. The successful candidate must; be able to work with minimal supervision, be pro-active, diligent, and have good problem solving, team-working and communications skills.

Additional Information

WORKING HOURS

- 5 days p/wk (Mon-Fri) around relevant site core hours (7am - 6pm Mon - Thurs, 7am - 12.30pm Fri).

- Hours required to work per week are 37.00 unless otherwise stated (this does not include lunch breaks). - Start and finish times to be agreed with local Line Management, in accordance with local site core hours. - Lunch break (unpaid) is 42 minutes which will automatically be deducted each working day from 12.30pm to 13.12pm by the electronic time management system.

- Dependant on workload, local management may request more or less hours are worked within this contract.

This role requires full Security Clarence (SC) prior to working onsite.

You must currently hold or be eligible and willing to obtain Security Clearance.

This role involves direct access to ITAR Materials, therefore we can only consider a sole British National for this role.
