BAE Systems - Structures Engineer - Samlesbury - 12 months - £40.00/hr UMB
Resolution of technical issues ensuring product safety and engineering integrity is not compromised.
Review and check work undertaken by other engineers and engage with stakeholders.
Completion of static analysis for metallic and composite structure.
Completion of durability and damage tolerance analysis using the LM toolset
F-35 Development Engineering at BAE Systems Samlesbury require a Stress Engineer with specialist knowledge and at least 10 years' experience in the analysis of metallic and CFC composite aircraft structures.
We are looking for candidates who typically hold a relevant engineering qualification to HNC/HND level or above.
Candidates with experience of durability and damage tolerance analysis of aircraft metallic structure are preferred.
Previous F-35 experience is desirable.
A working knowledge of Nastran/Patran FEM analysis toolsets and word/data processing toolsets (i.e. MS Word and Excel) is required.
To demonstrate an ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, to a variety of stakeholders.
Experience of managing tasks to meet design review criteria and programme schedules preferable.
Preferably, candidates would have experience working in a multidisciplinary integrated product development environment
