Software Engineer - C++, Media
Software Engineer (C++, Media/graphics) Designing Software in C/C++ for use in the entertainment industry. Experience of Media players, Audio or Codecs ideal as well as QT & OpenGL.
Software Engineer (C++, Media/graphics) Designing Software in C/C++ for use in the entertainment industry, previous projects include festivals, Harry Potter world, the Star Wars movies and more.
You will be working with a small company who have a fantastic reputation in their field, and are incredibly passionate about what they do. There will be lots of opportunity to go to events (Especially in festival season) and really make your mark on the product range.
You will need strong skills in software design in C++ and some experience of Multimedia playback, Audio or Codecs.
Experience of Linux, OpenGL and QT would be ide, projects are varied but always revolve around the Linux platform, given the nature of the work there will be some strong opportunities for your own creative input as well as some special perks around festival season!
- C++ Development experience
- Experience of media servers, media players, real time audio or media playback
- Experience of ffmpeg, codecs, OpenGL and/or graphic drivers
While not essential, experience in any of the following areas would be beneficial.
- QT or other cross platform tools
- Demonstrable experience of development on Linux.
- Experience building User interfaces which work closely with hardware or control systems.
