Senior Authorised Engineer
My client SOuthern Water are looking for a Senior Authorized Engineer with High Voltage electrical experience to join their team on a permanent staff basis, working from thei offices in Worthing.
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior Authorised Engineer to join our team on permanent basis. The Senior Authorised Engineer delivers a lead management role to ensure appropriate Management Plans are in place for statutory compliance and effective operation. This is a regional role with a flexible location and it comes with an attractive salary of up to £54400 (depending on experience) and other business benefits.
There duties include overall responsibility for high voltage activities within the business (Operational and Construction) as well as being the subject matter expert for mechanical and electrical operational and maintenance work. The role also manages the competency assessment programme for technicians and apprentices. As a part of your role you will need to ensure that robust engineering procedures and safe systems of work are effectively delivered within the MEICA, WS, WWAG and WWBG areas of Operations. You will be managing a team of four and will be able to utilise the Senior Authorised Persons to undertake MEICA related safety investigations into incidents, near misses or hazards.
To be successful in this role you must be a Professional Engineer with significant experience of engineering procedures and have an in-depth knowledge of Statutory Duties within MEICA work that need to be met by the Business. Experience in High Voltage Electrical Systems is essential for this role. Please note that due to this being a regional role, fair amount of travel will be expected and you will be provided with business needs car and you must hold a full clean driving licence.
