Our client is currently seeking a Mechanical Technician to assist with the assembly of their mechanical equipment.


Experience in the assembly of precision mechanical equipment

The Job

You will be responsible for assembling mechanical equipment or manufactured equipment to specifications as shown on equipment drawings. You will be responsible for operating stationary and moving overhead cranes, forklifts and any equipment needed to perform job within safety guidelines.

You will have the ability to read and interpret assembly blueprints and schematics as well as planning assembly or building operations. You will also be required to perform assemblies, based on assembly drawings and bill of materials and be capable of following written assembly instructions.

You will also be able to operate pallet jacks, cranes, forklifts as well as selected power and large hand tools. You will record serial numbers of assemblies for trace-ability purposes. You will be responsible to ensure components, bolts, screws are aligned and be able rivet them together.

Technicians may be required to test or assist in testing operation of completed products. They will also maintain customer satisfaction and continual improvements of our products. They will have to participate in all tool box safety meetings that are conducted.

We are especially interested in candidates that have previous moulding or machining experience.
