Emergency Planning Manager
Our client, Southern Water, are currently recruiting for an Emergency Planning Manager to join their busy Operational Services team in Durrington, West Sussex.
This is a full time permanent position working 38 hours per week Monday to Friday with a requirement to cover a 1 in 7 week out of hours rota covering Resilience Advisor duties.
The Emergency Planning Manager will develop and shape emergency planning, preparedness and resilience within operations. Your role will be to identify risks and respond to emergency situations as necessary. You'll be working on projects and programmes that will enhance Southern Waters' capability to respond.
The role of an Emergency Planning Manager is to strategically plan and manage the delivery of Southern Water's Incident Response and Recovery Arrangements. You will ensure that Southern Water has a range of plans and procedures that enhance its organisational resilience and ability to effectively respond to incidents, collaborate with external stakeholders and regulators at a senior level, oversee the delivery of risk based exercises, and manage the Emergency Planning Team.
You will be working closely with the Operational Resilience and Response Manager in delivering and maintaining operational strategies for emergency planning and business continuity. You will Oversee the preparation of relevant emergency plans and operational procedures and maintain, review and update these documents and ensuring that they are integrated within the business and relevant responders.
To be successful in this role you must have significant experience in emergency planning, business continuity, project management, knowledge of operations and Incident Management. Knowledge of the water industry regulators and regulations in terms of event management and incident response is desirable, but not essential as training will be provided.
