The Burnley site plays a leading role in manufacturing Nacelles across the market, from regional jets and corporate aircraft to the largest airliners, alongside sister sites in Le Havre (France) and Casablanca (Morocco).
The site manages a wide variety of programmes, with colleagues getting involved in engineering and manufacturing components for their three main specialism areas - Composites, Sheet Metal and Assemblies.
The major airline programmes for the Burnley site are the Airbus A330neo, Honeywell Htf7000 and Comac C919 with a number of smaller programmes too. The Rolls-Royce Pearl700 and Airbus A320neo are key programmes from the teams working within Sheet Metal.

Safran Landing Systems - Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM)
The OEM site has been at the forefront of landing gear technology for over 85 years, with experience and capability built over 16,000 aircraft. With over 800 employees at the site, they design, test, manufacture and assemble landing gear, which is used on commercial aircraft including a range of Airbus, Boeing airlines and UK military aircraft such as the Eurofighter Typhoon.
They are engaged in securing new civil and military business opportunities, as well as promoting the future of the UK aerospace industry through government and industry forums.
Safran Engineering Services
Based in Gloucester, Safran Engineering Services provide added-value engineering support and expertise to the aerospace and ground transport industries, where electrification is a major stake.
Working in domains including electrical systems, aerostructures, systems engineering, they oversee the Electrical Systems definition, and support customers with functional design, digital mock up design, harness design and flattening, and more.
To support the ongoing push for lighter, more efficient aircraft, Safran Engineering Services have also developed expertise in mechanical design and stress computation, from early design phases to certification.
Safran UK
Based in Gloucester, Safran UK operates the UK Shared Service Centre. They provide important services to all Safran's UK businesses - including transactional finance, indirect procurement, HR, tax and international mobility management.
The team run Safran's UK Graduate Scheme, whilst also managing learning and development programs through Safran University.
As the holding company for some of Safran's UK operating businesses, they support the Safran UK National Executive Office (UKNE), who are heavily involved in aerospace and defence solutions for UK Government agencies and leading prime contractors, and are a key partner in the Aerospace Growth Partnership (AGP).
Safran Landing Systems Services

Safran Landing Systems Services - Maintenance Repair and Overhaul (MRO)
Specialising in Single Aisle products (A320, B737NG), Safran's MRO organisation partner with a range of global customers, working closely with major airlines such as British Airways, easyJet, Wizz Air, Iberia, Vueling, Air Canada, Etihad and Qatar.
Their onsite teams carry out necessary overhaul activity of aircraft gears, which are removed every 10 years or 20,000 landings in order to be disassembled, inspected and repaired for reassembly and test.
With over 220 employees and apprentices, the team support the overhaul of more than 350 legs per year, as well as having capability to cover dedicated hydraulics and electricals. A dedicated team of engineers also support customers on-wing when issues emerge in service.

Based in Pitstone, Safran Electrical & Power specialise in the design, development, manufacture and on-going support of Electrical Generation equipment for aerospace applications.
Safran's equipment is used across fixed wing Aircraft and Helicopters, with a range of high profile customers including Airbus and Boeing. The Pitstone team also have growing involvement and expertise in the development of Motor technology for electrical propulsion.

Based in Slough, Safran Electrical Components oversee a wide range of electrical design and manufacture work.
The teams produce components, connector adaptors, backshells, transitions and more, providing electromagnetic, lightning strike and physical protection for writing systems for demanding environments.
The site also manufactures high specification aerospace and industrial hoses in a variety of materials, which are fully qualified to meet military or civil standards and requirements.
