Job description
This role is essential to ensuring that surfaces are appropriately prepped for painting and spraying, which is critical to maintaining the high-quality standards of our client's marine craft.
Key Responsibilities:
- Preparing surfaces for painting, including cleaning, sanding, and masking
- Ensuring all surfaces are free from defects before painting begins
- Maintaining a clean and organised work space
- Adhering to health and safety regulations while handling materials and equipment
- Collaborating with the painting team to ensure smooth work flow
Job Requirements:
- Experience in paint preparation, ideally within the marine industry
- Strong attention to detail and quality
- Ability to work efficiently in a team environment
- Knowledge of health and safety practices related to paint prepping
- Good communication skills
- Physical stamina to handle the demands of the job
Contract Details:
- Contract duration: Initial 2 months
- Hourly rate: Dependant on experience (c.£15.50-£17/h PAYE plus holiday pay)
- 42 hour standard week
- Based in a state of the art all weather build and repair facility
