Matchtech becomes skills partner for Highways UK
We are pleased to announce that Matchtech will be the official skills partner for the innovative Highways UK 2016 event. The event, supported by Highways England, brings together leaders from across the industry responsible for planning, developing, managing and maintaining the UK’s road network. This year’s event will take place at the NEC in Birmingham on 16-17 November 2016.
Commenting on the new partnership, Joe Wilson, Department Manager for Highways, Transportation and Planning at Matchtech said:
“We are thrilled to be working with Highways UK. It is an exciting time for the industry, particularly with the £15 billion Road Investment Strategy from Highways England.
“Through this skills partnership with Highways UK, we hope to continue engaging the industry in conversations around the skills agenda.”
Our role as Skills Partner means that we will be actively participating in the Highways UK advisory board and contributing to the formation of the event programme. Based on the success of last year’s event, Highways UK 2016 is set to be a great platform for discovering the latest industry news and hearing from industry leaders about the future of road infrastructure in the UK.
Highways UK Managing Director Andrew Dowding said:
“Matchtech has a strong pedigree and an in-depth knowledge of the skills required for the UK industry to deliver successful projects.
“We look forward to working with them to help address the skills issues in the highways industry.”
