Job description
This contract role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to a high-profile 2-3 year project in an esteemed environment.
Suitable candidates must be British Nationals due to the level of security clearance required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Performing maintenance and refitting tasks
- Conducting regular inspections to ensure optimal performance of mechanical systems
- Disassembling and reassembling various mechanical components
- Using technical manuals and schematics to identify and rectify mechanical issues
- Working closely with engineering teams to implement effective solutions
- Ensuring all work is carried out in accordance with safety and security regulations
- Maintaining accurate records of all maintenance and repair activities
- Operating within a high-security environment, adhering to all relevant protocols
Job Requirements:
- Proven experience in mechanical fitting, specifically within the marine sector
- Qualified as a mechanical fitter
- Understanding of submarine systems and repair techniques
- Ability to work in a security-sensitive environment; must be a British national
- Security Clearance (SC) preferred, though candidates will be considered for clearance if not already held
- Willingness to work a minimum of 50 hours per week, with the potential for additional hours as required
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Excellent teamwork and communication abilities

Rates and Hours:
Umbrella rates (PAYE also available):
- Day Shift - £32.50/h
- Back Shift - £40/h
- Sunday and Weekday Night Shift - £41/h
- Sunday Back/Night Shift - £44.50/h
- Hours - Min. 50 per week (unlimited likely)
- Contract length - 2-3 years
