Job Opportunity: Mechanical Fitter (Water Sector)
£25ph
Must hold CSCS card
Duration - 3 Months
Location: Skipton
Are you a skilled pipefitter with a passion for working in the water sector? We have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team and contribute to critical infrastructure projects. As a pipefitter, you'll play a vital role in ensuring the safe and efficient flow of water through pipelines, treatment plants, and distribution networks.
Responsibilities:
- Install, repair, and maintain water supply and wastewater pipelines.
- Fabricate, assemble, and install pipes, valves, and fittings.
- Collaborate with engineers and project managers to ensure compliance with specifications.
- Conduct inspections and troubleshoot issues related to water distribution systems.
- Work in a variety of environments, including treatment plants, reservoirs, and distribution networks.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a pipefitter, preferably in the water sector.
- Knowledge of water treatment processes and distribution systems.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., City & Guilds, NVQ, or equivalent) are advantageous.
