Job description
We're supporting a growing, award-winning client in their search for an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer based in Dublin. This role offers the chance to work on high-value projects across sectors including Data Centres, Healthcare, Pharma, and Industrial.
The Role:
Working within a skilled design team, you'll be responsible for producing compliant, efficient mechanical designs that support safe on-site installations. This is primarily an office-based role with regular project coordination.
Key Responsibilities:
- Mechanical system design in line with fire strategies and regulations
- Site surveys and attendance at design meetings
- Thermal modelling and ventilation load calculations
- Equipment sizing and selection (AHUs, chillers, pumps, etc.)
- Drainage, ductwork, and pipework design
- Preparation of layout drawings, schematics, and risk assessments
Requirements:
- Mechanical Design experience in building services (essential)
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
- Proficiency in software such as Hevacomp, IES, CyMap, or Carrier HAP
- Strong knowledge of UK/EU design standards
- Confident communicator and collaborative team player
