Job description
My client is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Test Engineer to join their Test team. This role will focus on performing tests on manufactured products, ensuring equipment setup, providing automation and software support, troubleshooting issues, ensuring compliance with testing standards, and contributing to continuous process improvements.
The ideal candidate will have a strong technical aptitude and be comfortable working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities:

Test Execution & Data Collection:
- Perform tests on products using set procedures.
- Record and analyze test results to ensure quality.
- Report failures and anomalies to the Test Systems Engineer.
- Conduct environmental, functional, and stress testing as needed.

Equipment Setup & Maintenance:
- Set up and configure test equipment.
- Calibrate and maintain test systems.
- Troubleshoot minor issues before escalating to the Test Systems Engineer.

Automation & Software Support:
- Run automated test scripts.
- Provide feedback on automated test sequences.
- Assist in improving automated test processes.

Troubleshooting & Issue Resolution:
- Identify and suggest improvements for test process issues.
- Work with manufacturing and quality teams to resolve failures.
- Escalate complex issues to the Test Systems Engineer.

Process Compliance & Documentation:
- Follow testing protocols and regulatory guidelines.
- Maintain accurate records of test results and equipment usage.
- Ensure compliance with company and industry standards.

Support & Collaboration:
- Collaborate with production teams to integrate testing into manufacturing.
- Help train production staff on test procedures and equipment.
- Provide feedback to the Test Systems Engineer on system performance.

Continuous Improvement:
- Suggest improvements to testing procedures.
- Participate in test development discussions.
- Stay informed on new testing methods and industry trends.
Qualifications & Requirements:

Education:
High School Diploma (or equivalent) with 1 year of college (HCN) and related experience.
Preferred: Associates Degree in a technical field. -
Experience:
At least 1 year of experience in test engineering or a similar role.
Experience in troubleshooting, equipment setup, and testing in a manufacturing or engineering environment. -
Skills & Certifications:
- Soldering certification (Required).
- Familiar with test automation and software support.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and with a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Good communication skills and ability to work well with others.
