Job description
Our client, a prominent player in the Transmission and Distribution (T&D) sector, is currently seeking a Construction Project Manager experienced in managing substation projects to join their team in either Dartford or Guildford.
The Role:
As a Construction Project Manager on the UKPN contract, you will lead and oversee various projects aimed at enhancing and maintaining the electricity distribution network. Your expertise will be vital in ensuring that dependable power is provided to millions. This is a full-time permanent position with working hours from 7.30am to 5.00pm.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage all designated project work to ensure successful completion in accordance with safety, technical and legislative policies and procedures, and delivering in accordance with programme, cost and quality.
- Undertake site visits and attend kick-off meetings for all new works and contribute towards securing them.
- Produce project execution plans associated with the proposed delivery strategy.
- Demonstrate visual leadership and promote alliancing behaviour to maintain close and proactive working relationships with the client.
Job Requirements:
- Substantial project management experience in utilities
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Extensive experience of managing P&Ls and proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel
- HV or cabling experience and a good level of NEC contract knowledge
- Substation experience is essential
