Job description
Our client in Titchfield is a recognized leader in aerospace fuel systems, providing advanced solutions for both fixed and rotary wing aircraft. The facility is equipped with state-of-the-art test capabilities, allowing comprehensive testing of entire aircraft fuel and inerting systems or individual components across a wide range of altitudes, temperatures, and fuel types.
We are currently seeking a talented Lead Quality Engineer to join their successful and dynamic team on a permanent basis.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and support the growth and development of a team of 3 direct reports.
- Act as a key customer interface to ensure quality requirements are fully understood and satisfied.
- Develop, implement, and continuously improve Quality Management Systems.
- Participate in, and potentially lead, internal quality audits and complete part approval documentation.
- Analyze organizational quality metrics, conduct reviews, and recommend action plans for improvement.
- Collaborate in product development and launch activities, ensuring quality objectives are met.
- Investigate and resolve complex quality issues, following up with corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Oversee the design, procurement, maintenance, and evaluation of gauges, measurement tools, and test equipment.
- Work with Quality Engineers to compile plant, customer, and product status reports and action plans.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in a Quality role within the Aerospace industry.
- Strong understanding of problem-solving methodologies such as Six Sigma, 8D, and root cause analysis, including statistical tools.
- In-depth knowledge of AS9100 standards.
- Familiarity with Part 145 is a strong asset.
- Experience in process auditing to ensure compliance with quality requirements.
- Comprehensive knowledge of product specifications, end-user applications, and testing requirements.
- Expertise in measurement techniques and a basic understanding of product material properties.

- Proven ability to lead cross-functional process improvement initiatives.
