Job description
Our client, a leading technological and engineering platform in the renewables sector, is currently seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to join their team on a contract basis. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on a pioneering Offshore Wind project.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform and be responsible for structural analysis tasks by utilising company standard structural analysis software, primarily SACS, as well as STAAD and GT-STRUDL.
- Conduct detailed design calculations following the latest industry codes and standards, including DNV GL, API, AISC, EC, and Norsok, as well as statutory rules and regulations.
- Review, comment, and approve structural drawings for steel structures based on engineering design.
- Prepare high-quality design reports and maintain records in accordance with department operating procedures.
- Ensure all activities are executed in line with our client's policies on health, safety, quality, and environmental matters following specific procedures.
Job Requirements:
- Experience in the offshore energy industry with a proven track record of delivering high-quality structural engineering.
- Degree qualified and ideally chartered or working towards chartered status.
- Proficiency in using structural analysis software, particularly SACS, STAAD, and GT-STRUDL.
- Strong understanding of the latest industry codes and standards.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively liaise with team members and stakeholders.
- Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to high standards of safety and quality.
