Job description
We are seeking an experienced Assurance Engineer, the ideal candidate will have a background in rolling stock engineering and/or assurance and will be able to effectively review work instructions, compare them to detailed engineering specifications or London Underground (LU) standards, and ensure timely delivery to meet project deadlines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide engineering solutions for the overhaul of signals equipment, rolling stock, and general engineering within workshops.
- Review work instructions and offer coaching on process improvements.
- Manage technical queries related to production, compliance, project delivery, and material procurement.
- Develop Bills of Materials (BoMs) according to customer specifications and LU standards.
- Act as the primary technical contact for customers.
- Ensure documentation from local engineers is reviewed for technical accuracy and compliance.
Skills & Experience:
- Strong understanding of rolling stock engineering, signalling, electrical, or mechanical systems.
- Experience working with Bills of Materials (BoMs) and SAP master data.
- High level of numerical and analytical ability with excellent communication skills.
- Experience with project planning tools such as Microsoft Project or Primavera.
- Attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines.
Qualifications:
- HNC in Engineering (or equivalent) is required.
