Our client, operating within the utilities sector, is seeking an experienced Test Manager for a contract role. This position will report to the SAP Programme Lead and requires a skilled IT Tester with the capability to deliver comprehensive IT testing strategies and implement test plans across various systems. The ideal candidate will be adept at managing multiple concurrent project testing requirements in an outsourced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and take ownership of the SAP Test Strategy
• Manage all aspects of testing services, including support, development, and delivery
• Collaborate with IT team members and business stakeholders to define project test plans
• Lead, plan, and manage system testing for multiple complex IT projects
• Oversee the entire testing lifecycle, including SIT, OAT, UAT, Regression Testing, and Performance Testing
• Supervise testing during the Test Execution phase and ensure timely and accurate reporting
• Analyse complex IT and business processes to produce Test Strategies, Plans, Cases, and Scripts
• Develop and maintain test plans and procedures ensuring system stability and accuracy
• Maintain clear communication channels between stakeholders and manage reporting on test statuses

Job Requirements:

• Considerable experience in IT testing across diverse and complex projects
• Previous experience in the utilities or similarly regulated sector is desirable
• Expertise in project implementation and contractual/commercial awareness
• Experience in designing and implementing processes and governance
• Proficiency in vendor and customer management
• Strong problem-solving skills and flexibility in roles and responsibilities
• Excellent teamwork capabilities and strong communication skills
• Knowledge of SAP is desirable but not essential
• Understanding of SAP Programme methodologies

Desirable Qualifications:

• Degree-level education
• ISTQB Testing Certification
• Awareness of Prince 2 Practitioner or similar project management methodology
• ITIL experience or qualification
• Hands-on technical experience in manual/automated integration and load testing
• Experience in implementing test frameworks
