Job description
Our client, a prominent company in the Defence & Security sector, is seeking a Systems Design Engineer to join their team in Bristol. This permanent role will encompass advancing Command and Control (C2) systems, crucial for air defence weapon systems. Due to the classification of information, candidates should expect a combination of on-site and hybrid working, typically requiring attendance at the site 3 or 4 days a week.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supporting the functional design of C2 software in collaboration with system and software architects.
- Analysing C2 requirements and interfaces, and proposing design changes.
- Understanding the behaviour and performance of complex algorithms.
- Generating requirements for software and hardware development.
- Investigating customer queries and offering solutions.
- Providing innovative designs to meet challenging requirements.
Job Requirements:
- Experience in systems design or systems engineering, particularly within similar products.
- Expertise in Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE).
- A genuine passion for creating functional designs that solve complex problems.
- A degree-level qualification or equivalent experience in a relevant field.
