Job description
Our client, operating in the water sector, is seeking a dedicated Project Engineer to join their team in North Wales. The successful candidate will undertake a mechanically-biased role, although individuals with an electrical background and relevant qualifications will also be considered. This is a permanent position that requires travel across North East and North West Wales, with an office base in St Asaph, making it ideal for someone residing in North Wales or nearby regions such as Liverpool, Warrington, or Chester.
Key Responsibilities:
- Managing low-cost reactive maintenance projects in the water and wastewater sectors
- Travelling between various sites to oversee and conduct project work
- Preparing Risk Assessment Method Statements (RAMs) as needed
- Collaborating closely with the MEICA Manager and other team members
- Ensuring projects are completed efficiently and safely
- Adapting to a fast-paced and varied working environment with reactive works
Job Requirements:
- Experience in water/wastewater projects
- Mechanical engineering background, although electrical qualifications will be considered
- Willingness to travel extensively across the designated regions
- Able to commute to North Wales within approximately 30 minutes
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and within a team
- Valid driving licence
