Twenty years’ commitment to engineering talent
Matchtech and marine engineering specialist Houlder have announced their 18-year commercial agreement has been extended by two years to 2021. Since 2001, the relationship has focused on bringing talented design and engineering personnel together for a wide range of marine and offshore projects.
Simon Hill, Houlder’s Chief Financial Officer, pictured with Gattaca COO, Keith Lewis, commented:
“Given the variety and scale of the projects we are tasked with, clients demand speed and reliability at levels we couldn’t meet without a deeply trusted partner. Our performance relies on an extended team, of which Matchtech is a central part. Our two management and administration teams have an easy shorthand for working together. Our companies just get along well at all levels and long may that continue.”
With a renewed agreement in place, Matchtech’s recruitment skill and experience will continue to help Houlder make sure the right people, with the right capabilities, are in the right place to deliver success.
Houlder teams, including engineering talent recruited through Matchtech, have designed and built a wide range of vessels, for example, upgraded jack ups and semi-submersible offshore units, and provided design and engineering studies for energy, marine and government clients. It has done this for projects based globally, from Norway to South Korea, and often at short notice.
Keith Lewis added:
