Job description

Position Overview:

Ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of our systems and infrastructure is crucial for business continuity. In this role, you'll collaborate with the business to grasp their requirements fully. From devising and implementing solutions to application glitches, network administration issues, and providing 3rd line IT service desk support, to coordinating with external vendors for issue resolution, or aiding in disaster recovery procedures testing and design - you'll be dedicated to optimizing performance while minimizing disruptions and downtime. Additionally, you'll play a pivotal role in transferring your expertise to 1st and 2nd line support during project transitions to operational support, and you'll be responsible for updating documentation related to infrastructure systems.

Candidate Profile:

• Proficient in Juniper, Cisco, and Aruba Network Devices.
• Experience in Carrier Grade Telecom Core deployments within any specialization.
• Familiarity with LAN/WAN technologies, including Layer 1/2/3 switching, VLANs, and ACLs.
• Skilled in implementing network changes within a controlled environment via IT CAB process.
• Demonstrated track record as a hands-on engineer in Telecom Engineering, with capabilities in designing, implementing, and ensuring the smooth operation of complex network solutions.
• Experience in operating and maintaining core networks utilized by major UK Mobile Network Operators (MNOs) is advantageous.
• Knowledge of core telecoms network infrastructure and protocols (OSS/BSS, BGP, OSPF, MPLS) is a plus.
• Experience with Ericsson and/or Nokia Carrier Grade Cores is desirable.

Salary: up to £55k dependent on exesperiance,

Location: Solihul 2-3 days a week
