Job description

LEAD INTERFACE ENGINEER

Our client, a leading company in the renewables sector, is currently seeking a Lead Interface Engineer to join their team working on offshore wind projects. You will be responsible for identifying and managing technical interface risks, developing and maintaining interface management tools and processes, and coordinating regular interface meetings with suppliers and work packages.

This is a contract position with a hybrid home/office working arragement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identification and management of technical interface risks
  • Development, application, and maintenance of interface management tools and monitoring processes
  • Review of technical specifications and scope
  • Coordination of regular interface meetings with suppliers and work packages
  • Planning and implementation of work packages such as mock-ups, test pieces, and trials required for design development

Job Requirements:

  • Experience in delivery of large projects with multiple interfaces between work packages and technical disciplines
  • Significant experience and knowledge of the offshore wind industry
  • Well-organised with excellent communication and record-keeping skills
  • Very good coordination skills, highly motivated, competent and resourceful with an eye for details
  • Intercultural communication and negotiation skills
  • Commercially aware with experience of contract negotiation and management
  • A flexible approach to work and willingness to travel in Europe
  • Professionally qualified to degree level in a relevant Engineering or related discipline
  • Ability to work offshore (e.g. BOSIET / HUET & EBS certification)
